"Where is the 129th?"
A Diorama in 1/35 Scale

This scene shows a fictive situation at eastern front (Ukraine) in 1943. An ordnance officer of german 20th Armored Division in it's all-wheel drived SdKfz 247/B is looking for the head quarter of neighboured 129th Infantry Division to brief all units for a concentric attack next day in Chwoschno direction to trap large parts of russian army.

This Diorama is already made in 2006 and antoher one of my earlier projects. It has been published in Modellfan, issue 05/2006, it became the cover. I wanted to try something new for me. Most of the modellers have to adapt their ideas and scenes to figure-sets available on market to create a lifelike situation. This disturbes me till date and so I have decided to change the point of view and create my figures myself, fitting well for the desired scene. My earlier experiences in changing body postures helped me a lot here. But I haven't made all figures myself and I have replaced tricky parts. By this - only the driver of SdKfz 247 and the three man aside this car are made myself. Here I have used Hornet heads and parts from other figure sets (Dragon, Tamiya, Zvezda) to substitute hands and boots. Other figures came from Dragon range and from Warriors (Set #3537 German Vehicle Crew Sitting). At all 10 figures are placed together with the mentioned armored car (Sovereign 2000), the sIG 33 from Alan and a 12cm heavy mortar 42 from Dragon. All kits got more or less changes and additional details
