Bulge

"Bulge 1944"
  KO'd Sherman M4A3 76(W)

Some long time ago I've bought this special Dragon-Kit of a VVSS Sherman named 'Battle of the Bulge'.  However - after some other projects I've decided that it was time to make a Sherman. Not that I am interested in something particular with Sherman tanks, it is interesting and challenging for me cause it was the backbone of US Army in WW2 and plenty of versions have seen battle action. And - this version was a serious opponent to german tanks.

The situation is about a combat team of US Infantry regaining territory which got lost some weeks ago during the german offensive in the Battle of the Bulge. The GI's are under fire, yelling and moving hastily to take cover behind a KO'ed Sherman M4A3 (76)W in a small, destroyed belgian village.

The Sherman is the Dragon-Kit #6255 which I have built - except for minor extra details - OOTB. The figures I've sculptured myself again.

This article will be featured in an upcoming Issue of Model Military International and german magazin 'Modellfan'
