Bulson, May 14th 1940
This is my first attempt on
dioramas, already from 2004.
The scene shows a PzKfw III F of platoon
leader (1st vehicle) of 3rd platoon, 2nd Comp, II./PzRgt. 2, together
with supporting infantry taking the small french village Bulson during
the opening day's of german western campain. A Hotchkiss H35 has
been suprised and got immediately killed. Hits of light artillery and
mortar have caused some destructions around. The
situation along the street isn't clear. Infantry is yelling commands to
each other and taking cover, meanwhile a PzKpfw III F provides fire
The PzKpfw III F comes from Zvesda and was already introduced here.
The Hotchkiss H35 comes from Heller and was built OOTB - except for the metal
tracks, which came from Friul. The Hotchkiss got painted with the typical colours
of french mechanized forces of that time.
The figures came mainly from
Verlinden and Warriors, as well as fromTamiya. In comparison to the figures
of Verlinden for example Tamiya figures are different in quality and size. I have used only some of them and tried to
place them in the background of action. The street lamps came from Plus Modell, everything else on this diorama was built by scratch.
