Pz III Ausf. F, 1/35
model from 2004, a Pz III Ausf. F, belongs to Pz.Rgt. 2 which led a
horizontal bar below the code number that time. Furthermore it shows a
vehicle of 2nd Comp. during the double battle of Bulson and Connage on
14.5.1940 (near Sedan).
It's the ancient Zvezda kit and I've had to deal with some things. The
main error is the external roll cover plate which was put in use
firstla with version G. Unfortunately I could’nt organise an inside
cover plate and that’s why I have to deal with this error. Furthermore
wrong detail (loops and clamps) on the tub had grinded away and some
fugues had to be primed and grinded. Some other details were missed on
the other hand. Mainly rivets I have added at the tail of the vehicle
completely. The vinyl tracks are not usable. The degree of detail of
contruction kit is moderate at all – you have to bring out the moste
with painting. The drive sprockets are to broad and had to be adjusted
so that the tracks are matching. All welding seams at the turret as
well as at the gun mantle were re-modelled myself. Therefor I used very
thin plastic strips which I produced by pulled hot plastic. With a
sharp knife I graved the typical structure of a whelded seam into the
plastic softened by plastic cement. At the cradle and the gun mantle
clearly visible fugues had to be primed and grinded once more. The
cables for the lamps and the handles on the turret are made of wire.
The machine gun in the front plate was made by myself. Therefor I used a 0,3 mm catheder and some parts of an yoghurt cover.
